Century Arms Mini Draco Capacity
Made by the same Romanian factory that makes the WASR-10, the Century Arms Mini Draco feeds from any standard AK47 pattern magazine. Capacities include 5, 10, 20, 30 and 45 rounds in box magazine “banana clips” and 60, and 75 round drum magazines are also available.
Century Arms Mini Draco Feature
The Century Arms Mini Draco is a pistol chambered in 7.62x39mm and accepts all standard AKM pattern magazines. All of the controls are identical to the AKM though disassembly of the gas tube is different due to the unique handguard. It has a 7.75 inch barrel surrounded by a taller and contoured handguard that is shaped to prevent the user’s hand from ending up in front of the muzzle. Built with the same parts kits as the Romanian WASR-10 series, these pistols have a cast barrel trunion.
Century Arms Mini Draco Mobility
With a short barrel and the lack of a stock, this AK47 inspired pistol offers the highest mobility of any semi automatic firearm chambered in the 7.62x39mm cartridge. Whether it’s a truck gun or you’re using it in a close-quarter shooting competition, tight spaces are of little concern.
Century Arms Mini Draco Ergonomics
Out of the box, the Mini Draco comes with a standard AK47 pistol grip that leaves much to be desired in the comfort department. The front grip of this pistol is cut from a much wider block of wood than a more traditional AK style front grip, and it has a rather chunky and boxy feel. The sights are best used with the user employing a one-point sling on the back of the firearm while pushing the gun forward with both hands, as there is no stock to get a proper cheek weld.
Century Arms Mini Draco Fit-N-Finish
Just like every AK pattern firearm, the Mini Draco also has parts that rattle when you shake it because the rifle’s reliability depends on having considerable amounts of free space between moving parts. The black phosphate coating found on all of the metal parts is exactly what one would expect out of any AK pattern gun, but the finish on the handguard is far from a typical AK. More like a glossy clear-coat, the front grip of the Mini Draco has a smooth and almost shiny finish on it, and the wood sticks out much more than a typical AK handguard.
