The TP9 DA, what more can we say! The Double Action and Single Action Trigger group make it an amazing firearm to handle while making it extremely safe to operate. The top-mounted decocker and disassembly button, allows the user to operate the trigger in double-action(DA) and allows for a safer carrying technique while carried in DA mode. The internals have been nickel coated, in order to provide a smooth trigger pull and better interaction amongst internal parts. While both of the paint job styles offered for this firearm are completed with a Nitride Finish, our Bronze model comes with an extra overcoat of Burnt Bronze Cerakote, which allows rust inhibition and maximum protection for the firearm and its parts. Finally, this firearm comes with an interchangeable magazine release, in order to accommodate left-handed shooters.

Canik TP9DA Capacity

The Canik TP9DA is chambered in 9x19mm and has a standard magazine capacity of 18 rounds.  10 round magazines are available in states with absurd magazine restrictions while 20 round magazines exist in free states with the aid of an extended floor plate.

Canik TP9DA Ergonomics

Ergonomics
The TP9DA has a full-sized grip with dimpling on the front and back and texturing on the sides.  The back strap can be replaced with different sized straps allowing the grip to fill every hand.  This gun does not have an external safety, but it does have a slide-mounted decocker to set the hammer from single to double action.  This requires a longer, heavier trigger pull which, in theory, reduces the risk of negligent discharges.

Canik TP9DA Fit & Finish

Aside from the inside of the barrel, no metal components of the TP9DA are without protective coating.  The gun’s DA/SA trigger setup allows for re-strikes in case cheap or poorly made ammo doesn’t ignite when the trigger is pulled, and the overall build quality of the gun is impressive for its low cost.

Fit and Finish

Canik TP9DA Concealability

Concealability
The TP9DA measures 7.2 inches long, 5.7 inches tall and 1.3 inches wide.  If its size alone wasn’t enough to hinder its concealability, the large back end of the slide and the large heel on the grip can easily poke through clothing making it difficult to properly conceal.  The texturing along the sides of the grip can cause discomfort when carried against bare skin.
