See DealThe Browning M2 .50 caliber machine gun began its development in World War I at the hands of the patron saint of firearms, John Moses Browning. It was designed to give infantry units enough firepower to repel and disable enemy tanks. The first working model and the predecessor to the M2 was the M1921 heavy machine gun which was produced both as a water-cooled gun as well as an aircraft-mounted gun, though the airframes of the era weren't strong enough to handle

the recoil.
The heavy-barrel variant was the first widely adopted version of the .50 caliber machine gun and was dubbed the M2HB in 1933 and has been blurring the lines between cover and concealment ever since. Current M2's are manufactured for the US Military by FN.Browning M2 "Ma Deuce" For Sale

Browning M2 "Ma Deuce" Capacity
The Ma Deuce is chambered in .50 BMG (12.7x99mmNATO) and feeds from linked ammo. While these links can be any length, they are most commonly seen in 100 round assemblies. The M2 has an incredibly thick barrel and an impressively sturdy receiver allowing it to fire any and all of the exotic loads that have been produced in the caliber.
Browning M2 "Ma Deuce" Feature
The M2 is a short-recoil operated, fully automatic, belt-fed machine gun that has an effective firing range of 2,000 yards with standard ammo and a maximum firing range of 8,000 yards with the same. It has a 40 inch long heavy-profile barrel that allows for a muzzle velocity of 2,750 feet per second to disperse plus-size freedom seeds with efficiency at distance.
Browning M2 "Ma Deuce" Ergonomics
The M2HB is equipped with a two-handed spade grip and butterfly trigger that ensures the user has enough control to tame this absolute beast of a gun. Its non-reciprocating charging handle is located along the left side of the gun and pivots down and back to give the user the maximum amount of leverage. Due to the gun’s massive size, the M2 is typically reloaded by aiming the muzzle up into the air so the user can more easily access the feed tray.
Browning M2 "Ma Deuce" Mobility
The M2HB measures 65.1 inches long and has an unloaded weight of 84 pounds. With the added weight of the tripod, the assembly weighs 128 pounds, and that doesn’t account for any ammo weight. Because of this, the M2 is always found in a mounted position that includes vehicles, checkpoints, on top of tanks, in the wings of fighter planes, in guard positions and other static locations.
Browning M2 "Ma Deuce" Fit-N-Finish
The M2 is built like a tank thanks to John Browning’s design philosophy of “Design it to work, then re-design it to make it even stronger.” Because of this, the majority of M2HB’s that have been produced are still running like violent sewing machines decades later. They are all slowly being upgraded to accept new barrels that can be more easily switched, and in 2020 a company armorer pointed out that one of the original 1933 production guns was still in service. It has been said by Military brass that the M2 will be in service so long that the last user of the M2 likely hasn’t been born yet.
