See DealThe submachine gun "Bizon" is a weapon for Russian law enforcement and special forces. There are several modifications of the weapon chambered for different rounds: "Bizon-2" in 9x18 mm. Makarov pistol cartridge, and "Bizon-2-01" in 9x19 mm. Parabellum. The main distinguishing feature of the "Bizon" is the large capacity magazine placed under the barrel. This magazine holds 64 Makarov cartridges, or 53 Parabellum rounds. The underbarrel magazine does not increase overall dimensions of the weapon and functions as the forearm during shooting.

The "Bizon" submachine gun is equipped with a folding stock. There are two stock modifications available: (1) a frame buttstock folding to the left, or (2) an upper buttstock folding on the receiver top. The submachine-gun can fire with the buttstock folded. Depending on the submachine gun version, the trigger mechanism delivers both full-auto and semi-auto fire or semi-auto fire only. The "Bizon" can be provided with a sound suppressor and modern fire control. There is a side mounting rail to accommodate collimator, optical and night sights. The advantages of "Bizon" submachine guns are high accuracy and grouping, compactness and concealed carrying possibility, high performance during unprepared fire, stability during fire with one or two supporting hands, possibility to use sound suppressors and sights for special tasks. Izhmash Pp-19 Bizon Capacity
The PP-19 is chambered in a few different calibers including 9x18 Makarov as well as 9x19mmNATO and feeds from a rather unique 64 round helical magazine. Rounds are loaded one-by-one into the magazine where they sit on a spiraling track that gets fed up into the chamber. The magazine also functions as a front grip.
Izhmash Pp-19 Bizon Feature
The PP-19 is a select-fire submachine gun that fires from the closed bolt and has a fire rate of 650 to 700 rounds per minute depending on the caliber. It operates on a direct-blowback action that is directly based on the AK47. Its designers included Victor Kalashnikov and Alexei Dragunov, the sons of two of Russia’s premier firearm designers. The PP-19 is built with a 7.7 inch barrel and comes standard with a folding stock.
Izhmash Pp-19 Bizon Ergonomics
The PP-19 has identical controls to any AKM pattern rifle with the exception of its method for magazine insertion. The helical magazine first latches onto the gun from the front with a dual peg and hook design and then rocks into the magazine well in the receiver. The magazine itself acts as a handguard and front grip allowing for a more natural feel to a unique gun.
Izhmash Pp-19 Bizon Mobility
The PP-19 has an incredibly light unloaded weight of 4.63 pounds and measures 16.7 inches long with its stock folded and 26 inches with the stock extended. Its light weight allows it to easily be carried while its short overall lengths make it an excellent tool for close-quarter environments. Its mobility is further advanced with its lack of a tall magazine sticking out that can get caught on stuff.
Izhmash Pp-19 Bizon Fit-N-Finish
The PP-19 has a free-floated handgaurd and a forged barrel trunion to provide extended accuracy and durability, and it is built on a stamped receiver. It can accept a wide variety of 9mm Russian suppressors on its muzzle and its receiver has the classic sight mounting dovetail system riveted in place on the left side allowing Russia’s FSB and police units to mount optics.
