Bear Creek Arsenal Genes1S Ii Capacity
The Genes1s II is chambered in 9x19mm Parabellum (9mm Luger, 9x19mm NATO) and feeds from a double-stack, single-feed magazine with a standard capacity of 17 rounds. This pistol accepts any full-size Glock magazine including those limited to 10 rounds as well as the aftermarket extended 32 round mags. If you’re looking to have some extra fun at the range, you can even employ one of Magpul’s 50 round drum magazines!
Bear Creek Arsenal Genes1S Ii Feature
The Bear Creek Arsenal is a metal-framed, striker-fired, semi-automatic pistol that operates on a Browning-inspired short-recoil action with a tilting barrel lockup. This full-sized pistol is built with a 5 inch threaded barrel with a ½-28UNEF thread pitch allowing you to mount compensators and forbidden popsicles. The slide is topped with illuminated windage-adjustable iron sights and includes an optics cut that can accept any RMR pattern mounting system. The frame includes a section of MIL-STD-1913 Picatinny rail allowing you to mount accessories such as lasers and weapon lights.
Bear Creek Arsenal Genes1S Ii Ergonomics
If you’ve ever fired a Glock before, then you already know the controls for the Genes1s II. Where this gun excels over its competition is in its improved ergonomics. The front of the grip is smooth with modest contours that offer more surface contact than a straight grip yet still offer a comfortable and effective grasp when wearing gloves. The sides of the grip are stipled with a square pattern that offers better traction than standard checkering, and the sides of the slide include front and rear serrations that offer better control when manually cycling the action.
Bear Creek Arsenal Genes1S Ii Concealability
The Genes1s II may be a full-size pistol, however concealment is far from impossible as the task is easily achieved with a decent holster, smart placement and the right choice of attire. Typically, you would want to wear a longer, slightly larger shirt (possibly a sweater or jacket) to prevent the gun’s silhouette from showing through your clothing, but let’s be real; this gun is too pretty to conceal. This pistol is most easily and most fashionably packed in a competition-style duty belt so all of your friends can gawk over it and regret spending twice as much on their Glock setup.
Bear Creek Arsenal Genes1S Ii Fit-N-Finish
The Genes1s is built on a two-piece metal frame that is held together by a handful of screws that strengthen the structural integrity. This also allows the gun to be made with greater precision as friction-welded polymer frames can be disfigured when they’re made and are more susceptible to scratching, wear and other damage. The slide and barrel are black nitride coated which is arguably the best type of finish for steel components since the coating’s hardness prevents rust and its physical properties rust-proof it completely.
