The Arsenal SLR-106 is a semi-automatic rifle chambered in 5.56mmNATO (.223 Remington in Freedomland) and is an AKM pattern rifle. It is built with a 16.25 inch barrel with a threaded muzzle and uses 5.56mm AKM pattern magazines. Its rear sight is graduated out to 800 meters and operates on a long-stroke gas piston with a 2-lug rotating bolt.

The SLR-106 is built from Bulgarian parts kits and includes a composite stock, pistol grip and handguard. Designed to copy the contours of the classic AK47, the SLR-106 has the same overall feel and has an identical control setup. Its safety lever, magazine release, charging handle and all other controls are placed identically to the AKM.
