Initially, the 375 H&H Magnum Ammo loads were a 235-grain bullet at 2800 fps, a 270-grain bullet at 2650 fps, and a 300-grain bullet at 2500 fps. It is ideal for hunting large games like the Alaskan Moose and Brown Bear in North America. It is known as an all-around cartridge and used by hunters from different parts of the walk. It is also common amongst Alaskan Guides who used it for hunting bears and Elks. It is also a famous pick for hunting wild cattle and any other game that catches the hunter’s fancy. It offers a fast kill on lean games, but you can also use it with a premium bullet on large games. Today, you can use a 120-grain bullet with the 375 H&H Ammo to achieve a muzzle velocity of 2,925 fps and with 2,280 pounds of energy. However, at 100 yards, the velocity reduces to 2,718, and the energy drops to 1968. At 300 yards, the projectile drops further by 7.1 inches.
